Family Voices: Thank-You Notes from NYCRC Families

Below are excerpts from real thank-you notes written by children and families at the New York Child Resource Center. These messages were originally handwritten on cards and shared with our staff as private expressions of gratitude for the care, support, and progress their children have experienced here.

To protect the privacy of our students, families, and staff, names and identifying details have been omitted or gently adjusted. Spelling and grammar have been lightly edited for clarity, but the heart of each message remains exactly as it was written.

Here’s what they had to say:

“Thank you for everything that you all do to help me learn, grow, and progress. You all are the best teachers!!”

“I want to say thank you for helping me every day with activities, reading, play time, and more. I am learning and growing because of you all!!!”

“Thank you for helping me with my speech and fine motor skills, and my amazing humor. I will forever be grateful to you.”

“Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be the best I can be. From the bottom of my heart (and my parents’ hearts), I thank you for being the stars who guide me every day so I can reach my goals. I will forever be grateful to you.”

“Thank you for your love and dedication toward my learning experience during this past year.”

“I am truly grateful for all the work you have been doing with my child. I know it’s not easy keeping him focused or keeping him seated, but I look at all the photos on ClassDojo and appreciate all of your patience. Thank you for being so dedicated and loving.”

“Thank you both for all the love and support you’ve given my child. I appreciate the messages and reminders, and especially the photos on ClassDojo. Thank you for your patience.”

“Thank you for your caring support for my child and for putting up with her unique attitude. Hope you enjoy this small token of appreciation.”

“Thank you for everything you do for my daughter. I really appreciate all the effort to help her improve in everything. God bless you!!”

“Even though you are not a teacher, you are the director who makes sure my child has an amazing experience at the center. You are truly the best. I love your communication skills and how you get things done. I am so happy my child got to know such a caring individual.”

The Early Intervention Program is a public program funded by New York State and county governments for infants and toddlers under three years of age who have or are suspected of having a developmental delay or disability. If you have concerns about your child's development, you can contact the NYC Early Intervention Program by calling 311 to make a referral.

New York Child Resource Center, Inc. is approved by New York State and has a contract with New York City to provide Early Intervention services. Eligibility for the Early Intervention Program can be determined only by State-approved evaluators under contract with the municipality. If a child is found eligible, needed services are identified in collaboration with the parent and must be authorized by the municipality. The municipality arranges for service providers based on the individual needs of the child and family.

Services authorized through the Early Intervention Program are provided at no out-of-pocket cost to families, though health insurance may be accessed for reimbursement. When Early Intervention services are delivered in child care or community settings that require a fee, the parent is responsible for any associated costs with access to those settings.
